Introduction to Flow Cytometry

11 - 12 April 2013, Ireland

Introduction
Flow cytometry is a versatile analytical and preparative technique that can be used to measure intrinsic cell characteristics such as size, shape and granularity and extrinsic cell characteristics such as DNA, internal and external receptors. This has many applications in scientific research and within the pharmaceutical sector, with the most common applications in cell cycle analysis, apoptosis/necrosis, ploidy determination, immunophenotyping, and protein expression analysis.

This course provides an in-depth understanding of the concepts underlying flow cytometry-based analysis, through a combination of lecture-based and practical-based training.
