CERG DePiCT project seminar

5 December 2012, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Describing Practice in Chemistry Teaching (DePiCT)

The Å·ÃÀAV's Chemistry Education Research Group (CERG) is undertaking a project investigating how difficult chemistry concepts are taught, especially by expert teachers. The intention is to generate a baseline of expertise on which new / inexperienced / non-specialist teachers can draw. In addition, we seek to gain understanding and knowledge of teaching strategies that impact positively on students' learning in different settings. We would like to generate data and potentially materials to promote good practice and active learning experiences for students.
