Introduction
EUCHEMSIL 2026 aims to celebrate the rich diversity of science carried out across the liquid salt landscape, whether in high temperature molten salts, room temperature ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, water-in-salt electrolytes or anywhere in between.

 Topics of interest include:
  • Structure and properties of molten salts, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents
  • Chemical synthesis and catalysis using liquid salts
  • Mineral extraction and material synthesis in liquid salts
  • Biorefining and new opportunities for the circular economy
  • Biomedical applications of liquid salts
  • Energy storage and conversion in molten salts and ionic liquids
  • New theories and computational approaches for understanding liquid salts

Registration will be on Sunday 26th July with the academic program running Monday 27th to midday Friday 31st. Wednesday afternoon will be left free for networking and exploring the city of Cambridge.
