Emmetts to Chartwell walk

11 October 2025 11:00-15:00, Sevenoaks, United Kingdom

Introduction
Once an Edwardian estate and a beloved family home, Emmetts Garden was the passion project of plantsman Frederic Lubbock. He designed the garden in the late 19th century, drawing inspiration from the ideas of William Robinson. Today, it's home to a diverse collection of rare trees and shrubs from around the globe.
Situated on one of the highest points in Kent, Emmetts Garden provides expansive views of the picturesque Weald and offers excellent walking trails. Visitors can explore the charming rose and rock gardens, enjoy the panoramic scenery, and see the vibrant colors of autumn.
If the weather is nice, we can take a walk through the woods to the nearby Chartwell estate. The walk ends back at Emmetts Garden, where you can get refreshments at the Old Stables Tea Room.
