Introduction

This year's outstanding group of speakers will address the latest developments related to the isolation of biologically active natural products, their role in the area of chemical biology and drug development, as well as the inspiration that they provide for the advancement of synthetic chemistry. Leaders in the field of novel methodology and reaction development will discuss progress in asymmetric catalysis, organocatalysis, C-H bond functionalisation, cascade reactions and applications in the context of natural product total synthesis and medicinally relevant small molecules. Other speakers will emphasise new aspects of isolation, total synthesis, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry of biologically active natural products.
