Fully booked: A2 spectroscopy revision masterclass

Introduction
Join Dr Kristy Turner, an experienced chemistry teacher who teaches at Bolton School and The University of Manchester, Dr Frank Mair, Director for Outreach in the School of Chemistry at The University of Manchester and Dr Kat Presland, Å·ÃÀAV’s Education Coordinator (North West) and deliverer of The University of Manchester’s Spectroscopy in a Suitcase programme, for this A2 revision masterclass on spectroscopy.  The revision workshop will focus on:
  • Quick re-cap on principles of NMR, IR and MS
  • Some hands-on synthetic transformations, followed by using some of the spectroscopies.
  • Workshops using elemental data along with IR, NMR and Mass spectra to determine structures on unknowns
  • Tour of the instrumental facilities in the School of Chemistry, so you see how the theory is put into practice.
