This webinar takes the form of an interactive workshop, designed to introduce and give practical demonstrations using generative AI tools for the chemical educator at a variety of levels from school sector to higher education. Covering:
- AI perception, use, and recent data on AI use by Chemistry educators
- Potential and pitfalls of using AI tools
- Showcase of AI tools including for (but not limited to):
- Note-taking and lesson summaries
- Grading and feedback
- Literature searching and literature review
- Data analysis
- Final considerations and discussion
This session will be valuable to educators at all levels and experiences with AI tools who are interested in developing their awareness of generative AI use, going beyond commonly used chatbots (e.g., ChatGPT) and avoiding their pitfalls.
