Peptides have found applications in many fields, most notably as modalities for various therapeutic indications. While the peptide drugs sector is currently experiencing a significant growth, from sustainability standpoint production of peptides suffers from the use of large amounts of various hazardous substances. Through a series of case stories, this talk will demonstrate an integrated sustainability approach addressing chemistry, waste and hazard minimization as well as cost and scalability issues simultaneously.
