Overwhelmed by the response to 2nd Renewable Energy India 2008 Expo, we have been enthused to expand its format to include Cogeneration (CHP), Energy Efficiency & Geothermal Energy sectors, besides Solar, Wind, Hydro & Bio energy in the forthcoming event. CHP currently accounts for 9% of global power generation (IEA 2007) and its economic potential, however, is likely to be significantly greater.
The potential of power generation in India has been estimated to the extent of about 15,000 MW through cogeneration in core industries. The 3rd Renewable Energy India 2009 Expo is a global platform to showcase the potential of power generation using renewable resources.
