Model Driven Software Engineering (MDSE 2008)

Introduction
Approaches for MDSE (Model-Driven Software Engineering) focus on the separation of the specification of the system from its implementation on a particular platform. However, in practice many different methodologies and tools are used to take advantage of model driven software development. The goal of this workshop is to bring together people working on MDSE techniques and tools, and applying them on web applications, enterprise information systems or embedded systems, so that they can exchange their experience, create new ideas, evaluate and improve MDSE and spread its use. This year, we take a closer look at transformations, e.g. model-to-model and model-to-text transformations, transformation languages and transformation specification. We also focus on the human factor, e.g. qualification of software engineers for MDA.
