Introduction

A free to attend SCI one-day symposium entitled "Green Chemistry: Truths, Myths and Medicines鈥� brings together industrial and academic experts to present cutting edge synthetic approaches towards sustainable chemistry. The application of green chemistry in the discovery and development of novel pharmaceutical drugs will also be discussed. The meeting will be of interest to all synthetic organic, medicinal and process chemists. Seasoned green chemists, those with an interest in learning more about green chemistry but also those sceptical of its application should attend. Undergraduate and postgraduate students representing the next generation of green scientists are welcome to participate in the symposium, discussion and networking.
